Description
This course is for:
The course is for anyone who is working at Entry 1 or 2 in English, has additional
educational needs or lacks confidence in their everyday skills.
The course will provide practical opportunities for learners to develop their life skills in
a structured and supportive environment.
You will learn:
English, maths and communication skills are taught through topic based learning.
Topics many include shopping, money management, travelling on public transport, DIY
and basic snack making. Learners will work towards an OCR award in Life and Living
Skills at Entry Level 1, 2 or 3.
Work outside of sessions:
You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practise in between and prepare for
the next and future sessions. Your tutor will give guidance at the first session.
Additional costs and what to bring:
There may be additional costs depending on the topics chosen each term, this will be
discussed with you by the centre before you start the course.
Please bring along a pen or pencil and paper.
