DACES

DACES receive funding from the ESFA to provide courses for Derbyshire residents.  As part of our enrolment process you will be required to show evidence of residency to check your eligibility for funding, as well as for ID checks. 

Adult learners aged 19+ - If you live in a devolved area you can enrol onto our courses online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due.  You can check your eligibility for funding online    Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan - You can check your eligibility for funding online

Description

This course is for:
People with some experience of plastering to gain a Level 2 Diploma qualification to be able to work in the industry.

You will learn:
Health and safety, understanding information, quantities, communication and technology. You will apply render, fix dry linings and plasterboard, form screeds, work with fibrous plaster, apply plaster to internal surfaces, position and secure fibrous plaster components. The course takes one academic year, two full days per week and is both practical and theoretical. You will receive verbal and written feedback.

Work outside of sessions:
Training sessions will take place for two full days per week.

Additional costs and what to bring:
All of the costs are covered in the advertised course fee, including the accreditation fee. Wear protective clothing such as overalls and steel toe capped boots. Other personal protective equipment (e.g. gloves and goggles) will be supplied.

Progression from this course:
