DACES receive funding from the ESFA to provide courses for Derbyshire residents. On an annual basis you will be required to show evidence of residency to check your eligibility for funding, as well as for ID checks.
Adult learners aged 19+ If you live in a devolved area you can enrol online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due (check your eligibility for funding online). Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan (check your eligibility for funding online).

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help with preparation for employment and is recommended for learners who hold the Level 1 dry stone walling qualification and have substantial experience of walling.
Developing skills learnt on level 1, you will be able to build a wall, a wall end (cheek end) and improve the quality and skill of your work. This further experience is required before enrolling on a Level 2 course which develops skills so that learners can register as a Professional Dry Stone Waller with the DSWA.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you have done walling before. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is an outdoor course, working on the practice walls at the Derbyshire Eco Centre. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor who will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
This is an outdoor course so please wear clothes appropriate for the weather such as waterproofs, boots and gloves if you have them (although gloves can be provided). Also bring your own food and drinks, there is a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, hot water and a sink.
Are there any other costs?
There are no extra costs to the advertised course cost.
