DACES

DACES receive funding from the ESFA to provide courses for Derbyshire residents.  By registering/enrolling with us you are consenting to sharing your information with us and funding organisations in line with Government guidance for further education providers and you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of enrolment. On an annual basis you will be required to show evidence of residency to check your eligibility for funding, as well as for ID checks. 

Adult learners aged 19+ If you live in a devolved area you can enrol online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due (check your eligibility for funding online).    Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan (check your eligibility for funding online).

Description

This course will provide you with a more in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. You will develop counselling skills, understand the different approaches involved in the use of counselling skills and appreciate the importance of self development.

Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for anyone interested in using counselling skills as part of their functional role in a wide range of sector areas, or looking to progress towards accredited counsellor status with one of the counselling professional accrediting bodies.
This qualification does not qualify you to practice as a counsellor. However it can support your progression within employment in a number of roles.

How will I learn?
You will complete 5 mandatory units in an electronic portfolio of evidence, which will be internally & externally assessed.

What will I need?
Access to the internet & time to complete homework set each week.
