DACES

DACES receive funding from the ESFA to provide courses for Derbyshire residents.  By registering/enrolling with us you are consenting to sharing your information with us and funding organisations in line with Government guidance for further education providers and you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of enrolment. On an annual basis you will be required to show evidence of residency to check your eligibility for funding, as well as for ID checks. 

Adult learners aged 19+ If you live in a devolved area you can enrol online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due (check your eligibility for funding online).    Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan (check your eligibility for funding online).

Description

"This course is designed for anyone who wishes to reduce your own stress and help your mental health during your busy life.

During this two week session you will be given opportunity to talk with your tutor and other learners, and gain strategies and techniques to take away. This course gives you quick simple ideas that you can easily put into practice to help you with positive thinking to reduce stress.

It aims to help you consider your daily influences, environments or situations that may impact on your life and what you can control and impact for yourself for your own mental health.

Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at everyone. There are no requirements or prior experience needed.

How will I learn?
You will attend two sessions where you will be shown techniques to support your own positive thinking to reduce your stress and improve your mental health.
During the sessions you will have opportunity to try out some techniques and your tutor may give you some ideas to take away and try at home.

What will I need?
You do not need to bring anything in particular to the sessions although you may want a notepad to make your own notes. The tutor may suggest some apps or websites that you may wish to look at later. Just come with an open mindset ready to try out to help your reduce your stress levels and increase positive thinking.

Are there any other costs?
This is a free course.

This course is to work on your health and well-being , but this course could be beneficial to those with neurodiversity, supported learning or even parents/carers to help themselves or those they care for."
