DACES

DACES receive funding from the ESFA to provide courses for Derbyshire residents.  By registering/enrolling with us you are consenting to sharing your information with us and funding organisations in line with Government guidance for further education providers and you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of enrolment. On an annual basis you will be required to show evidence of residency to check your eligibility for funding, as well as for ID checks. 

Adult learners aged 19+ If you live in a devolved area you can enrol online, over the phone or in centre, but full cost fees apply and we will contact you about any additional fees due (check your eligibility for funding online).    Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an active an EHC Plan (check your eligibility for funding online).

Description

A short introduction to counselling course. Develop your knowledge on how counselling can help people, the key skills counsellors use in their practice and the main approaches to counselling (psychodynamic, humanistic and behavioural). There will be role play to demonstrate questioning and listening skills. No prior qualifications are required to join this short introduction course.

Who is this course for?
Anyone that would like to take their first steps into counselling to see if it is something they would like to pursue further with a qualification. We offer both the Level 2 and also the Level 3 counselling qualifications.

How will I learn?
The course will be delivered by a tutor online, via Microsoft Teams.

What will I need?
Access to the internet & basic digital skills.

No additional costs

You may with to progress further to one of our Level 2 counselling qualifications.
