Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Description
This qualification prepares you to know, understand and be able to become an Early Years
Educator (EYE), enabling you to work with children from birth to 5 in the Early Years
Foundation Stage. You will gain an understanding of child development from ages 5 to 7
years and demonstrate an in depth understanding of early years' education and care.
You will produce an online portfolio of evidence and your tutor will give you individual support
and feedback on all the work you produce.
Who is this course for?
To join this course you should have a Level 2 Childcare qualification and at least one year's recent
experience of working or volunteering with children. You should also have English and
maths at Level 2 or above.
How will I learn?
You will attend a weekly class on Microsoft Teams and attend a placement for a minimum of five hours a week. You could have up to five hours of homework per week; this could be researching
or reading relevant articles within childcare, writing up work from your placement and
assignments set from class.
What will I need?
You will need either a laptop or other computer with internet access to attend the course and complete your course work.
Are there any other costs?
The course may be free if it is your first Level 3, or you are working, live in Derbyshire, and earn below £25,000.00 or are unemployed.
