There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for Derbyshire residents. This often helps to keep costs very reasonable. In return we follow Government guidance:

Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.
Please note, we will be unable to take any payments for courses on 25th February 2025, sorry for any inconvenience.

By continuing you confirm that you are enrolling onto an adult learning course and that you are aged 19 or over on 1 September 2024, or you are enrolling a young person aged 14-18 on 31 August 2024 specifically onto one of our Study Programme courses, and that you agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help you to become an active member of your local community. You will develop skills and knowledge to make improvements to your local environment.
You will find out about local birds, their habitats and the types of nest boxes they use. You will make a nest box to take home or donate to a local nature reserve. You will learn useful woodworking skills.
Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.This course is a supported learning course for adults with a learning disability. You do not need to have worked with wood before.
This is a classroom based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
You will need to wear clothing that you do not mind getting messy. Please wear stout shoes or boots. Some of the activities may take place outside, so dress according to the weather.
This course is free and there are no material costs.
