Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course is to help engagement and build confidence in Essential Skills: maths, English and digital skills through activities where number, information technology and written and spoken communication would naturally be used, in an informal and friendly environment.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you have no formal qualifications in maths or English or Digital Skills. Supporting routes into further study or volunteering for those learners with little written English, digital or maths skills or in Foundation, supported or residential and other learning environments, where mainstream curriculum would not meet their needs. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn
Your tutor will provide activities and resources to help you develop and practise your Essential Skills in a fun, engaging and supportive way. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You may want to bring your own pen and pad but resources will be provided.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
We hope you will develop your confidence to progress onto one of our English, Maths or Digital Skills qualification courses.
