Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help you develop English skills needed for life and work. Join us for a Derbyshire Murder Mystery Evening. Set in various places across Derbyshire. Using your problem solving and detective skills, you will learn about the fictional characters involved by listening tot he narrative and watching the Power Point. Pay attention to our Derbyshire Detective, when she questions the suspects in the second half to ensure you don't miss out on any clues.
Who is this course for?
For any would-be sleuths! Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a live online session delivered remotely via Teams, so that you will be part of a live session, with a tutor/ facilitator, Detective Donna Derventio (aka Caroline Greatorex, author of the Derbyshire Murder Mystery Evenings), but with everyone in their own home.
What will I need?
You may be given information on the characters via email to prepare for the session, but this is not mandatory.
You may want to bring something to make notes.
There are no extra costs to the advertised course cost.
You will access this course through Microsoft Teams. You will be part of a live class, with a tutor, but with everyone doing the session from their own home.
We will send you an email at least 24 hours before your course is due to start with instructions for how to join.
