Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help build parenting skills and give you the confidence to support your children's learning Art journalling is used as a way of developing art skills whilst working on your wellbeing and can be used daily as a part of your self-care practice or to use to support your own child's wellbeing. This course will teach you new skills and develop existing ones, giving you an opportunity to harness your creativity in a way which is relaxing and cathartic.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a parent or carer and would like to be able to express yourself or support your child to express themselves through art. Take some time out improve your wellbeing by learning some mindfulness through art expression. Our tailored learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course and is progressive, with one course of five sessions. The course will help to develop and build on existing skills. The tutor will guide you and prompt you with practical activities, different themes, explanations and examples. You will work individually but as part of a small group and will be able to continue to work on your art journaling at home. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
The tutor will supply all resources, but you may want to bring some of your own to include in your projects.
