Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help you to maintain your mental health and wellbeing.
Unlock your creativity and explore the connection between music, emotions, and art in this course designed to support positive mental wellbeing.
In each session, you'll be guided to create art while listening to music of different moods, calming, uplifting, introspective, or energizing. As you engage in the process, you'll discover how various musical styles can influence your mood and inspire your artistic expression. Whether you're painting, drawing, or experimenting with mixed media, you'll learn how to use both sound and colour to reflect your inner emotional landscape. This course offers a fun and dynamic way to express yourself and also promotes mindfulness, relaxation, and emotional self-awareness. By the end of the course, you'll have a deeper understanding of how to harness the power of music and art as tools for emotional wellbeing and creativity.
Who is this course fo?
This course is for you if you are a beginner or if you have done some art before. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and individual work. You will be given tasks and can work on your own projects. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will be painting so please bring something to cover your clothes. You may want to bring something to make notes.
This course is free and there ar no other costs.
