Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help you to maintain your mental health and wellbeing.

This course is designed for beginners and those looking to reconnect with their creative selves. In a supportive and relaxed environment, you will learn basic ukulele skills while exploring mindful playing techniques that help reduce stress, improve mood, and encourage self-expression. Whether you're looking to unwind after a busy day or cultivate a more positive mindset, this course is your invitation to find peace, rhythm, and joy one strum at a time.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a beginner or if you have played a musical instrument before. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities, individual work and group work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Instruments are provided but you may bring your own if you wish. You may want to bring something to make notes.
This course is free and there are no other costs.
