Each year we'll check your proof of residency in Derbyshire and entitlement to possible funding

Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help you to become an active member of your local community. This may include developing skills and knowledge to make improvements to your local environment.
Learn how to grow your own vegetables, fruits, and flowers while connecting with your community. You'll learn essential gardening skills, from planting seeds to harvesting crops, and discover the benefits of working together in a shared garden space. Enjoy the fresh air, make new friends, and contribute to a greener, healthier neighbourhood.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you enjoy being outdoors in nature and gardening. It is suitable for beginners and those that have some experience. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is an outdoor-based course. You will learn through hands-on experiences and interactive activities. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Please wear outdoor clothes and footwear appropriate for the weather. Gardening gloves are provided but you may wish to bring your own. Bring a bottle of water for during and after the session. You may want to bring something to make notes.

There are no extra costs to the advertised course cost.
