Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help you to maintain your physical health and wellbeing.
Managing pain is a complex journey, and one powerful tool that is often overlooked is the food we eat. This course explores how our diet can play a role in reducing inflammation, supporting joint health, and boosting wellbeing for people living with pain. You will learn about foods that promote healing, reduce pain-triggering inflammation, and strengthen the body's natural defences. The course covers simple ways to include anti-inflammatory foods into daily meals and provides you with the tools to nourish your body and manage pain more effectively.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a beginner or if you have done some cookery before. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and individual work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will be preparing food and working in a kitchen environment. Please make sure long hair is tied back, and you may want to bring something to cover your clothes. You may want to bring something to make notes.

This course is free and there are no other costs.
This course involves food/drink and consent will be requested as part of the enrolment process.
