Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven 'purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help build parenting skills and give you the confidence to support your children's learning.
Are you looking for a chance to be creative as a family? Clay is a fantastic material for children to explore, and grown-ups enjoy it as well! Join us for a family course where everyone gets involved. Make a mug from scratch and decorate it with your own design. We will be using hand building pottery techniques to make a mug which you will be able to decorate with coloured slip and the sgraffito technique.
Some of the work created during the sessions will need to be left at the centre to be glazed and fired after the end of the course. You will be notified when the work is ready for collection.
Who is this course for
Adults and children exploring clay together. One adult may bring up to 2 children. Children must be 6 years old and over. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities for you to do as a family with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. You may wish to wear an apron. You may want to bring something to make notes.

This course is free and there are no other costs.
