Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
Shop, cook, share is a practical cooking course. Develop skills for independent living. Learn about healthy food choices, budgeting and shopping. Enjoy sharing a meal and making friends.
Who is this course for?
This course is for people with learning disabilities to improve their cookery skills for independent living. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. Each week the tutor will demonstrate the recipe to be cooked by yourselves with assistance. Your tutor will give you support and feedback, so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will be asked to provide your own apron for each learner and carer.
You may want to bring something to make notes and you will need a folder and pen.
Bring suitable containers to take food home in and a strong bag. Sometimes you will be asked to provide an ovenproof dish. Remember dishes can be HOT to carry home.
This course is free and there are no other costs.
