Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Discover how to cook quick, tasty, and budget-friendly meals using an air fryer in this fun and supportive course designed for adults. Whether you're new to cooking or want to build on your skills, this course will help boost your confidence in the kitchen, support your mental wellbeing, and even enhance your employability.
Working in a small group setting, you'll use fresh ingredients to prepare a variety of delicious meals and snacks from scratch. You'll get to try new foods, meet new people, and share ideas with others, helping to create a relaxed and social learning environment.
Together, the class will explore exciting and affordable dishes that you can easily recreate at home – perfect for individuals, families, or even future work opportunities in food or hospitality. You'll learn how an air fryer works, how to get the most out of it, and leave each session with food you've cooked yourself.
By the end of the course, you'll take away a collection of recipes, new skills, and plenty of inspiration for using your air fryer to prepare healthy, satisfying meals quickly and cheaply.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you want to learn new skills and feed your family for less.
If you are a beginner or if you have done cooking classes in the past. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be many practical activities with guidance from your tutor. You will be given various tasks and can work on your own recipes. You will be given support and feedback from your tutor so you can improve.
What will I need?
Please wear old clothes or a shirt or apron as you may get messy. Please bring a Tupperware container to take your food away with. You may wish to have a folder to store handouts, notes or recipes. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
There are no further costs.
