Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Are you nervous about using computers or just need to refresh your digital skills? I Can Do IT is a friendly, hands-on course for beginners or anyone lacking confidence with technology. You'll learn the basics such as switching on a device to safely shopping online, finding bus times, recipes, and sending emails. No tech talk, no stress, just simple, useful skills to help you feel more confident and stay connected in everyday life. Yes, you can do IT!
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults that want to improve their digital skills and learn how to use computers and IT in a supportive and hands on way. This course is for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
In a classroom using computers and digital devices with a supportive tutor to guide you.
What will I need?
You will be looking at a screen so if you normally wear glasses to read then please have them with you. If you have a phone or tablet you would like to learn more about, please bring it with you. You may also want to bring something to make notes.

Who is this course for
The course is aimed at complete beginners. No prior learning is required, however it would be beneficial if you attended one of our Digital Skills Tailored Learning courses prior to this course.
How you will learn
You will learn a range of software packages and cover several modules including Internet and Email, creating a document, using online forms and staying safe online.
There will be chance to ask questions and put what you have learned into practice. Your tutor will give you feedback during the course and you will be able to self-assess your progress and achievement.
What you will need
Bring along a pen and paper so that you can make your own notes. Workbooks and handouts will be provided.
