Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. An exciting and fun opportunity to learn and practise the skills of a producer and retailer of gifts and cards with the potential to progress to further training, employment or self-employment.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if would like to experience a hands-on entrepreneurial pop-up shop task from start to finish. Discover where your skills lie, with a brief introduction to design, planning, making your own products, marketing, costing and pricing. Work and evaluate as a team with other learners and the support of our experienced and knowledgeable tutor. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course with practical activities with guidance from your tutor.
What will I need?
Please wear clothing suitable for craft activities and you may wish to bring some of your own materials for making a personalised project. You may also want to bring a pen and pad for making notes.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
You may wish to progress onto one of our other courses to help you progress into further learning or employment such as one of our Careers Workshop courses and Being Your Own Boss.
