Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description This course is for residents living in the Birdholme area of Chesterfield only. This course is for men. All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help you to maintain your mental health and wellbeing. Learn joinery and building skills while focusing on mental wellbeing. You'll work on a practical projects to make a mud kitchen to donate to a local nursery school.
Who is this course for?
This course is for men living in the Birdholme area of Chesterfield. This course is for you if you would like to improve your overall mental health and wellbeing. It is suitable for beginners and those that have some experience. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a workshop-based course. You will learn through a combination of hands-on practice, guided instruction, and supportive group activities. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Please dress for the weather in warm clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Please wear sturdy boots or shoes. As this course runs 10-3 Please bring snacks or a packed lunch with you.
