Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Description
Are you interested in developing your creative writing skills? Would you like to be able to write to support your mental health? Writing has been identified as a way of exploring creativity and expressing emotions. Writing can help improve your confidence, increase self-esteem and help you to develop mindful practice. It can also improve your English and writing skills, and give you the skills to take on personal writing projects.
Who is this course for?
This taster session is for you if you would like to improve your well-being through writing, or develop your writing skills. No experience is necessary as the tutor talk you through different genres of writing and will guide you through activities. This taster session will focus on writing poetry. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
What will I need?
You will need to bring along a notepad and pen.
Are there any other costs?
This session is offered free of charge and there are no other costs.
Following on from this taster session there will hopefully be a six session course over six weeks, looking at different types of creative writing, including: poetry, flash fiction, recreations and story writing. This will be tutor led. Your tutor will talk with you about your options at the end of the session. Visit our course search on our website for what's on offer.
