Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
Get ready to strum, laugh, and learn together! Our Family Guitar Sessions are a relaxed and fun way to explore music as a family. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the very first time or you already know a few chords, these sessions are designed to help everyone grow their confidence and creativity.
We'll explore simple single note playing to build confidence and coordination, and we'll also learn fun, easy chords so you can play along to songs you enjoy. There'll be plenty of time to chat together about the kinds of music you'd like to learn.
We'll provide helpful notes and song sheets with chords so you can follow along.
It's great if you can bring your own guitar, but don't worry—we'll have some available for families to use during the sessions.
The session will be relaxed, informal, and focused on enjoying music together—because learning an instrument should be fun for everyone!
Who is this course for?
This course is for parents, carers and children for age 7 and above to learn together (children must be accompanied by an adult). Our courses are for families who live in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
How will I learn?
This course is designed for families to learn together, with simple ideas to help you continue practising at home. Sessions will include a mix of tutor led activities and demonstrations, along with individual tasks, family group work, and some optional homework. You'll take part in shared activities as a group. Your tutor will offer support and feedback throughout, helping you and your family understand how to build skills and confidence. Notes and resources will also be provided to help you continue learning beyond the classroom.
What will I need?
It's great if you can bring your own guitar, but don't worry—we'll have some available for families to use during the sessions.
You may also want to bring something to make notes.
