This course is for Families accessing the Holidays and Food programme or families who live in the Bolsover area.
Are you a parent or carer who would like to try out some healthy lunch ideas for picnics this school holidays? Learn more about healthy lunch options and make some healthy lunch ideas with the kids to try together. From making tasty snacks to sharing easy tips on cutting down sugar and processed foods, this workshop builds confidence in gaining simple cookery skills and making healthy choices.
Who is this course for?
This course is for parents, carers and children aged 5 and above to learn together (children must be accompanied by an adult). This course is for Families accessing the Holidays and Food programme or families who live in the Bolsover area.
How will I learn?
Through hands-on activities and simple, practical demonstrations, you will discover how to put together delicious, healthy lunches that are affordable and child-friendly. This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will be in a kitchen so please make sure you and your family have suitable clothing, all have clean hands and long hair is tied back. Aprons can be provided. You may want to bring something to make notes.
