Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Description
Getting Started (new to exercise or returning after a break)
Using Pilates-style exercises, your tutor will guide you through gentle yet strengthening postures to help maintain and improve your back's flexibility and core strength. You may also notice improvements in your breathing and overall mental wellbeing.
Introduction is the first of these courses and will focus on safety, movements and confidence. As the year progresses, returning learners will build on prior knowledge to further maintain and improve their physical and mental wellbeing, helping to better equip them for work, sports, and everyday life.
This course is delivered by a back care–qualified specialist tutor with several years of experience and is suitable for anyone looking to maintain and improve their back health.
Who is this course is for?
This course is for you if you would like to improve your overall health and wellbeing specifically your back and core.
Please note this may not be suitable for you if you are under the care of a medical professional for injury or chronic back pain and everyone will need to complete an initial health assessment so we can be sure this is the right course for you. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a tutor-led online course. You will be given support and feedback from your tutor so you can practise and improve at between sessions.
What will I need?
You will need a mat or comfortable floor to lay down on and a clear area free of trip hazards. Your tutor will advise on any additional equipment which might help you personally e.g. A supportive chair or a band to aid stretching. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that enables you to move. We recommend that you don't eat a large meal in the hour and a half before this course.
There are no extra costs to the advertised course cost.
