There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for East Midlands Combined Authority (EMCCA) residences, this includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Join us on a delicious journey across Britain in this friendly and welcoming cookery course. Cooking Around Britain is designed to nourish both body and mind—combining simple, healthier recipes with the joy of cooking and socialising together.
Each week, we'll explore a different region of Britain, preparing a range of traditional and inspired dishes with a healthier twist. From comforting classics to lighter modern favourites, you'll learn practical skills, build confidence in the kitchen, and discover how to make everyday meals both nutritious and satisfying.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you would like to improve your wellbeing. Our courses are for people who live in the EMCCA region aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities, individual work and group work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
All ingredients will be provided but you should bring food containers to carry your food home in. As you will be working with food, please make sure long hair is tied back and hands/nails are clean. You may want to bring something to make notes.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
You will be asked for food and drink consent during the enrolment process.
