There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for East Midlands Combined Authority (EMCCA) residences, this includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

A friendly and practical course for adults with learning disabilities who want to build confidence, gain independence, and learn new skills.
Through creative activities such as art, crafts, community projects, group discussions, and everyday life learning. You will develop important life and living skills in a supportive environment. The course helps you explore your interests, recognise your strengths, make choices, and work towards your personal goals while becoming more involved in your local community.
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults with learning disabilities who want to build confidence, develop independence, learn everyday life skills, be creative, make new friends, and become more involved in their community. It is suitable for anyone who enjoys practical, hands-on learning in a friendly and supportive environment. No previous experience is needed. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
You will learn through fun, practical, and creative activities such as art, crafts, discussions, and community projects. Learning is hands-on and designed to help you build confidence, independence, and everyday life skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
What will I need?
You don't need to bring anything, just yourself and a willingness to have a go and get creative. All materials will be provided.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
