There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for East Midlands Combined Authority (EMCCA) residences, this includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Description
This practical and enjoyable 6-week course, with 2-hour sessions each week will help you develop the skills and confidence to use an air fryer to prepare simple, affordable, and healthy meals. Through hands-on cooking sessions, you will learn how to prepare a range of everyday meals and snacks, adapt traditional oven recipes for air fryer cooking, and create healthier versions of popular dishes.
Whether you're cooking for yourself, your family, or looking to improve your kitchen confidence, this course offers a supportive environment to develop practical cooking skills and discover just how versatile an air fryer can be.
The course also provides a welcoming social environment where you can meet new people, share experiences, build confidence, and enjoy cooking together. No previous cooking experience is required.
Who is this course for?
Adults aged 19 and over who live in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
This inclusive course supports you to build everyday cooking skills, grow in confidence, and develop social connections through shared, hands-on cooking activities.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. You'll learn through simple, step-by-step demonstrations, hands on practice and supportive guidance from your tutor in a relaxed, friendly setting. You will be given support and feedback from your tutor so you can improve.
What will I need?
All ingredients and equipment are provided. Please bring a Tupperware container to take your food away with. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. You may wish to have a folder to store handouts, notes or recipes.

This is a free course and there are no further costs.
