There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for East Midlands Combined Authority (EMCCA) residences, this includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

This 5-week course provides a welcoming, non-judgemental space to explore neurodiversity and gain knowledge, confidence and practical strategies to help your child thrive. You do not need your child to have a diagnosis to attend. This course is suitable for those who are seeking guidance, are waiting for an assessment for their child, have recently received a diagnosis, or simply want to learn more about neurodiversity in children. Over five weekly sessions, we will cover... Getting help and accessing support for your child The impact of neurodiversity on mental health and wellbeing Encouraging positive behaviour Supporting communication skills Opening doors to learning and helping your child reach their potential Join us to connect with other parents and carers, gain valuable insights, and discover practical approaches to supporting your neurodivergent child.
This course is for parents/carers of children who may be neurodivergent or people wanting to find out more. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
This is a live online course. There will be activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and discussion. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
You will need a device which can access Microsoft Teams. You may want to have something to make notes.
This course is free and there are no other costs.
You will access this course through Microsoft Teams. You will be part of a live class, with a tutor, but with everyone doing the lessons from their own home. We will send you an email at least 24 hours before your course is due to start with instructions for how to join.
