There are some other bits we need to tell you as we get funding from the Government to provide courses for East Midlands Combined Authority (EMCCA) residences, this includes Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. Adult learners aged over 19 years will generally pay full cost fees unless booking onto a free course. There may be other costs for materials etc.

Learners under 19, or up to 24 with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) should chat to us or take a look here to check elibility for funding.

Take some time for yourself, relax, and discover the benefits of creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment. Brightside Crafting for wellbeing brings together art, textiles, and wellbeing through a variety of enjoyable hands-on activities, including Calligraphy Inky Creatures, fabric painting, and sun printing, using sunlight to create beautiful negative prints on fabric and paper.
No previous experience is needed. Simply bring your curiosity and enjoy learning new skills, exploring your creativity, connecting with others, and supporting your wellbeing.
Designed to nurture both creativity and mental wellbeing, this course offers a calm and mindful space to focus, make meaningful connections, and enjoy the rewarding experience of crafting together.
The course takes place over 3 sessions, from 10:00am to 2:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break from 12:00pm to 12:30pm.

Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for anyone interested in exploring a range of textile crafts while also supporting your mental health and wellbeing. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn
This is a classroom-based course. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and demonstrations, individual work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve. You will be given notes and resources to support what we cover in class.
